FAKE CARTS

Fake Brands to Avoid
These brands are all exclusively fake. Either they were invented by Chinese box and cart makers for black market sellers in the USA to fill themselves, or they are untested brands that operate exclusively in unregulated markets. Either way, they can contain anything, are often of very low quality even when they are not outright dangerous, and should be avoided. These are the brands people are finding synths in, and pesticides, and dangerous cuts.
This are not the only fakes. While the list is being updated constantly, so too are new fake brands being made. Just because a brand isn't on here, doesn't mean it's not fake. Sometimes, a brand can be legit but there will be counterfeits being sold on the black market - some commonly counterfeited brands are listed here. If you have encountered a brand that isn't on the fake list, or is on the counterfeit list, and are unsure if its real or not, go through this handy guide on IDing legit carts to determine if its real or fake.

@BTY.EXTRACTS.
@Cartbusta - tests some fake brands as dirty... then uses that to promote other (just as dirty) fakes.
@Cravemeds - you might be surprised to learn the green liquid he sells is just PEG, food color, and synths, and not pure THC, like he claims.

@gunsmokela.
@jayyparadise.
@nocturnal_labs.
@theblacklistxyz - promotes fake brands with fraudulent lab tests.

Plan B Wellness - A licensed dispo in MI that has repeatedly sold vitamin e oil in carts from fake brands to the public. Given their willingness to sell fakes and poison their customers, everything there should be considered dirty.
Platinum Extracts - This is a different "Platinum" than the licensed but shady and heavily counterfeited brand from MI. Uses a different logo and makes no attempt to look legit.
Platinum Vapes - they are licensed in many states. Recently their MI branch released some carts with oil that was dyed pink, to benefit the Susan G Komen foundation, a scam "charity" that pays 85% of its received donations to its executives and uses the rest to "raise awareness" of breast cancer by suing actual breast cancer researchers and treatment centers for daring to use the color pink. Shady "non-profits" aside, none of the things in cannabis that give it its color are oil soluble, for example the pink in pink strains is water soluble, and none of these natural pigments can dissolve in oil or be extracted with distillate, which means they used an oil soluble dye to color their oil, in order to funnel profit to ghouls. If they are willing to dye their oil, who knows what other crap that isn't tested for they are willing to put in there.

If your legit, state-licensed brand is listed here in error, please contact me with your valid and current license number and associated info for verification to get it removed.
user reports: 1: It's targeted harassment at someone else 1: Got a source for most of these?
lol. "won't someone think of the poor fake cart sellers‽" Yes, there is a source - the official state registries of licensed brands. If a cart brand isn't licensed, they are fake, and they get on the list.

Companies You Should Be Cautious Of

These are companies that are legal but that have lied, misrepresented their products, or otherwise behaved in a shady manner, and as such, you should be extra cautious before deciding to trust them. They are sorted below by category.

Dispensaries

Detroit Natural Selections - A licensed dispo in MI that has repeatedly sold vitamin e oil in carts from fake brands to the public. Given their willingness to sell fakes and poison their customers, everything there should be considered dirty.
Elite Wellness Bay City - A licensed dispo in MI that has repeatedly sold vitamin e oil in carts from fake brands to the public. Given their willingness to sell fakes and poison their customers, everything there should be considered dirty.
Plan B Wellness - A licensed dispo in MI that has repeatedly sold vitamin e oil in carts from fake brands to the public. Given their willingness to sell fakes and poison their customers, everything there should be considered dirty.
Sun Valley Caregivers - Licensed rec store in CA that has been busted multiple times selling illegal fakes.
Holistic Health Wayne - "Medical Only" dispo selling counterfeit Stiizys and fake brands.
Seabright Distribution is using its distribution license to sell fake Dr Zodiak products (an AZ exclusive brand) to CA rec dispos.
Sun Valley Caregivers have been busted selling multiple fake brands of carts with no licensing and no testing, including Hi-Fly, a black market brand.
Downtown Patient Group (C10-0000368-LIC), a dispensary, is selling Big Chief carts, a notoriously unlicensed fake company that uses fake labs.
The Cookies Dispensary in Maywood is selling unlicensed and untested Big Chief carts.
The Cookies Dispensary in Seattle is selling herb produced by an unlicensed (ie illegal) producer (Blue Dream, 6033062890010002) under the White Runtz brand name. This processor has applied for a license, but it is on hold and not active, and they have already been selling to dispos for months.
Flyt Lounge/Delivery Oakland, CA dispo and delivery service that has been pawning off gross fake carts from unlicensed producers as though it were legit and from a desired producer..
House of Dank Flint, MI dispensary that was notorious for selling Danks before legalization, is now selling fake, illegally produced and untested "house brand" products. Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4. You will notice the labels are missing half of the legally required info (like the lab test), the QR code is gibberish, and though Trucenta is listed as the manufacturer on both, different license numbers for Trucenta are given, and neither number matches was the state has on file as belonging to Trucenta - the numbers don't match any on file, in fact.
Veralife They are selling highly impure carts (>10% cannabinoids) that have 70% phytol, the dangerous to inhale vitamin e precursor. Like the vitamin e and phytol cut sellers, they falsely claim phytol is a terp.
Hey High LA, CA dispo and delivery service that is selling unlicensed, untested fakes.

Marijuana Brands

Bud Technology, a producer that is only licensed for infusions (CDPH-10003528, a type N license), and is not legally allowed to make extracts/floweetc. This means they are not subject to the proper regulations and oversight that is required for extract/flower producers, and any non-infusion product they make should be considered suspect. Their brands include Boomba Labs, BT Weekly, Flor Pure Flower, Royal Family. They formerly made carts for Dime Industries as well, but then Dime switched to a properly licensed producer (Evergreen Management, CDPH-10002933).
Dr. Zodiak - used to be licensed (in AZ only), but got busted with dangerous levels of pesticides and lost their license. They had many sub-brands, like Lynnwood Lemonade Clear, Frosty's Snowcone Clear, Silverback Clear, Bobby's Blue, and *Razzle Dazzle Clear. Still commonly counterfeited.
Dyme - they are licensed in OR and CA, but they use the dangerous cut phytol in their carts, which is not tested for in either state. Consider their products dirty, even if licensed and accompanied by a seemingly clean lab test.
Fuel - They are licensed in MI... but they've sold crap carts massively cut with vitamin e to licensed dispos, forcing a recall. Consider all their products potentially cut/contaminated, even if it comes with licensing and seemingly real lab tests.
Left Coast Extracts. - Currently in the process of going legit, but the fakes still outnumber the licensed versions. They only have a medical mj producers license (CDPH-10003930), so be sure you get them from a dispensary that is licensed for medical (the store can still sell to rec customers if they've also a rec license), and verify the license and test on the cart with the state and lab, to ensure you aren't getting one of the fakes.
Motor City High - They are licensed in MI... but they've sold crap carts massively cut with vitamin e to licensed dispos, forcing a recall. Consider all their products potentially cut/contaminated, even if it comes with licensing and seemingly real lab tests.
Royal Highness - They started on the black market, then got licensed in MI... then sold crap carts massively cut with vitamin e to licensed dispos, forcing a recall. Consider all their products potentially cut/contaminated, even if it comes with licensing and seemingly real lab tests.
Savage - Makers of Savage Sticks. They started on the black market, then got licensed in MI... then sold crap carts massively cut with vitamin e to licensed dispos, forcing a recall. Consider all their products potentially cut/contaminated, even if it comes with licensing and seemingly real lab tests.
True - They are licensed in MI... but they've sold crap carts massively cut with vitamin e to licensed dispos, forcing a recall. Consider all their products potentially cut/contaminated, even if it comes with licensing and seemingly real lab tests.
Winberry Farms - they are licensed in OR and CA, but they use the dangerous cut phytol in their carts, which is not tested for in either state. Consider their products dirty, even if licensed and accompanied by a seemingly clean lab test.
Jetty Extracts - they are licensed in many states and widely available in dispos. Though they are considered a premium brand of extracts, they also make a d8 product via synthesis but do not test for residual reagents (since this is not required by state law, which made only considering extractions, not synthesis). See the Delta 8 section below for more elaboration on why reagent testing is needed for synthesized cannabinoids when it is not needed with extracted ones.
FarmaceuticalRX's - An MMJ brand in PA. They also make a d8 product via synthesis but do not test for residual reagents (since this is not required by state law, which made only considering extractions, not synthesis). See the Delta 8 section below for more elaboration on why reagent testing is needed for synthesized cannabinoids when it is not needed with extracted ones.
Canuvo - A licensed brand in ME. They make a d8 product via synthesis but do not test for residual reagents (since this is not required by state law, which made only considering extractions, not synthesis). See the Delta 8 section below for more elaboration on why reagent testing is needed for synthesized cannabinoids when it is not needed with extracted ones.
Matter NY brand sold by Veralife. They are selling highly impure carts (>10% cannabinoids) that have 70% phytol, the dangerous to inhale vitamin e precursor. Like the vitamin e and phytol cut sellers, they falsely claim phytol is a terp.

"Hemp Derived" Delta-8-THC sellers

Update - the DEA has just clarified the legal position of d8, and it is as we here have been saying all along: All isomers of THC are illegal, and d8THC that is synthesized does not fall under the hemp exception because it is not present in hemp. So all current "hemp derived" d8 sellers are selling a schedule 1 drug and have been ordered to stop immediately. While we at cleancarts push for full legalization and hate to see the DEA stop the sales of any cannabis product, we do not mourn the loss of the shady d8 sellers who have trolled reddit and the greater MJ community and sold weak, contaminated, poorly made and dangerous d8 products. Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish
Delta-8-THC is present in hemp is such low amounts (<.00001%) that it isn't feasible to extract it from hemp. It isn't even detectable in most hemp strains. The only real way to get delta-8 starting with hemp is to synthesize it by isomerizing CBD, which is present in hemp in great quantity, into delta-9-THC and then into delta-8-THC using reagent chemicals such as chlorine bleach, hydrosulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, p-Toluenesulfonic acid, citric acid, organo-metallo complexes with cadmium or lead, or zinc chloride/bromide. Then to improve color, sometimes silica or bleaching clay (such as t-41) is added. The reagents and other chemicals used are all extremely toxic to vape, difficult to remove, and must be completely gone from the final product for it to be safe. There are less common reagents used to isomerize, but that are all also extremely dangerous. Because of this, you can only trust delta-8-THC sellers who test for the reagent they use (as well as for purity, pesticides, and heavy metals) and who are licensed by their states hemp program. To date, no "hemp-derived" d8 company tests for the reagents they use. There are, however, plenty of legit marijuana producers in legal states extracting it from marijuana, no weird chemicals or synthesizing required. Delta-8-THC does not get you high like delta-9-THC does, it is more like CBD in effect, be wary of any delta-8 cart that gets you high like delta-9 does, as the tests below show, it likely means there is delta-9 (and a lot of other chems) in with the delta-8.
The following is a list of disreputable delta-8-THC brands and contaminated delta-8-THC products.
3Chi - A company licensed through their states hemp program (IN #18_0235). Currently using an army of fake accounts to promote their products here on reddit, by posting fake reviews, and shouting down/threatening anyone who questions their products or practices. They relentlessly harass and threaten any reddit user who says anything critical or even questioning of them. Be wary of positive reviews made by new accounts that only post praise for the company. Be aware that the shady trolls who run this company will attempt to torment and silence you if you do not mimic their shills praise for their products. Multiple users have contacted me after having been threatened by them, distressed to the point that some have deleted their posts concerning 3chis shady behavior, and some have even deleted their whole accounts. They are truly the most hateful and toxic company online. Their shill accounts on Reddit include the following users: chickenpattydaddy (contacted other users to threaten them into removing posts critical of 3chi), r33fermadness (runs delta8, a sub created to promote 3chi/CannaAid), FloridaFlows (contacted other users to threaten them into removing posts critical of 3chi), SweatyObligation, Gaulster, bwinter14, Whoneedpacks, Jcreations100, TrilliumOcean, mrhempyhands, skyhio (3chi reseller), alargeburrito, boyyywut, bapp0-get-taco, SyntheticBagel, Outside-Comparison12, dogconnoisseur, heavyhands88, MuayKickJitsu, 9oyardxo, Deadelmogaming, bugabo21, hempgurl, and many more (they will be added as users report them). Their source of delta-8 is in question (Edit: no longer, they now admit they synthesize their d8 and that their claim of extracting it was a lie), and they do not test for residual reagents, bleaches, or solvents. Currently awaiting more info from them on what reagent/s they use to isomerize and if they test for their presence afterwards. If they provide answers, this entry will be updated. When independently tested, their products have been found to be below the claimed total percentage of cannabinoids, with far less d8 than is claimed, and large amounts of d9 (well over the legal limit), and a large number unidentifiable chems, indicative of an incomplete and dirty reaction that was not cleaned up.
Warning: Their terms of service state that they will DOX and troll you, and it is no idle threat, they threaten and DOX anyone who even questions them.
The owner of the company was involved in fraud before they started pushing their BS d8..... and is subject to federal reporting because of it.
Skyhio - Another brand owned by 3chi.
TerpFex - Insufficient labs - they don't test for solvents, or residual reagents. They are a 3chi brand.
CannaClear - This one is three layers of sketchy..... Started out on the black market, selling dirty marijuana extract, got cloned and now the packaging is available online for every dealer to buy and fill at home with vitamin e and synths.... recently this sketchy black market brand started selling questionable synthesized d8 on the clearnet, with insufficient labs, or course - they don't test for pests, metals, solvents, or residual reagents. To make things extra fun they have the same phone number listed for customer service as 3chi, and may be affiliated.
CannaAid - Currently using an army of fake accounts to promote their products here on reddit. There are reports from established reddit users (5 year old accounts, active continuously in varied subs) about them mismatching label claims and labs, and there are reviews from suspect accounts about them having suspiciously strong effects not in line with delta-8-thc. They are likely the same shady trolls as the ones running 3chi (see below). Be wary of positive reviews, esp those that claim to get you high. Source of delta-8 is in question, and they do not test for zinc chloride/bromide/reagents.
*Note: both CannaAids and 3Chis website are registered to the same small proxy service. Now, since its a proxy, we don't know who registered it, but it'd be quite a coincidence if two unrelated companies both happened to pick the same proxy registrar. About as big a coincidence as the sub delta8 just organically always having effusive praise for exclusively these companies (because the mods delete anything else)....
Trulieve - Claims their delta-8-thc is extracted from Charlottes Web... a strain with almost-no-to-no detectable delta-8-THC, but does have CBD which can be isomerized to delta-8-THC. They do not test for zinc chloride/bromide/reagents.
10 Dollar Cartridge - AKA "delta 8 Solutions". They lack lab testing for their products. They do list a blank, detail-less one on their preorder page for an unnamed product, but it doesn't show that it was one of their products that was tested, much less which one it was, and it doesn't include any results for metals, pesticides, residual solvents, or to see if there are any of the extremely dangerous chemicals used to isomerize CBD into delta-8 are still present. Super sketchy untested bargain basement synthetically made carts not a safe bet.
SnapDragon Cannabis - Like other online d8 sellers making d8 from CBD, they refuse to test for residual amounts of the chemicals they use to turn CBD into d8, or even admit to what the chemicals they use are (likely bc all chems used to turn CBD into d8 also make d9, either as a first step or at the same time, so admitting they use any specific chem will be admitting that they are breaking the law). They claim they don't use acids to isomerize CBD to d8... but the only other way to turn CBD into d8 involves using reagents with heavy metal complexes, which are just as hard to remove from the final product and just as harmful to inhale, albeit in a different way from the strong acids. The dangerous chemicals used in synthing up their d8 may explain why it comes out such a disturbing shade of pink....When independently tested, their products have been found to be below the claimed total percentage of cannabinoids, with far less d8 than is claimed, and large amounts of d9 (well over the legal limit), and a large number unidentifiable chems, indicative of an incomplete and dirty reaction that was not cleaned up.
Honey Creek Labs - Resold by many companies, including Greene Rush Hemp, MYCBDhaven, delta710, bulkdisty, and more. Continuing the theme, they offer no testing for residual reagents used in making CBD into d8. Worse, independent testing has shown huge discrepancies over their claimed test results. Samples were found to contain as much as 14.8% d9, and as little as 44.7% d8, despite the manufacturers labs claiming 95% d8. The high rate of contamination with d9 indicates they are having quality control issues with the reaction; not a good sign that they are able to completely remove the dangerous reagent chemicals used. In addition to health concerns, the high presence of d9 is a frightening revelation for people using their products who are expecting to be in compliance with federal law, or who need to pass urinalysis. The user Bassomatic42, a moderator at the vendor run delta8 sub, is affiliated with them. I know because they messaged me, asking to have the brand removed from this list, complaining about all the boxes of d8 they have to sell..... Naturally I told him not until there are independent labs showing they are clean.
Pharma CBD - Provides generic lab report for their d8 cart that doesnt mention their company or brand name (could easily be stolen) - not that it matters if it isn't, because they don't test for pests, metals, solvents, or residual reagents.
My CBD Haven - Another sketchy company that doesn't test for reagents. When independently tested, their products have been found to be below the claimed total percentage of cannabinoids, with far less d8 than is claimed, and large amounts of d9 (well over the legal limit), and a large number unidentifiable chems, indicative of an incomplete and dirty reaction that was not cleaned up.
Rogue Cloud - Another sketchy company that doesn't test for reagents. When independently tested, their products have been found to be below the claimed total percentage of cannabinoids, with far less d8 than is claimed, and large amounts of d9 (well over the legal limit), and a large number unidentifiable chems, indicative of an incomplete and dirty reaction that was not cleaned up.
Green Rush Hemp Co - Another sketchy company that doesn't test for reagents. When independently tested, their products have been found to be below the claimed total percentage of cannabinoids, with far less d8 than is claimed, and large amounts of d9 (well over the legal limit), and a large number unidentifiable chems, indicative of an incomplete and dirty reaction that was not cleaned up.
Triangle Trading Company - Insufficient labs - no safety tests.
Drip - Insufficient labs - no safety tests.
Pure D8 Flower - Insufficient labs - they don't test for pests, metals, solvents, or residual reagents. No, there is no d8 flower (Hemp doesnt have d8, only marijuana does, and then only in minor amounts) - its just sketchily made D8, sprayed onto some hemp flower.

Lula CBD - Insufficient labs - they don't test for residual reagents, or solvents.

Crystal Creek Organics - They post no labs for their delta 8 products whatsoever.

Cannabis derived terp companies that ship nationwide

Hemp, the only federally legal cannabis source for terpenes, doesn't have a lot of terps, and doesn't come in the same strains as marijuana, which are what consumers desire. Additionally, extracting terps from saleable hemp buds renders them unable to be sold. It would cost more to extract from hemp than any producer would ever be able to sell the terps for, so it just isn't done. The terpenes that are on the national market are blends of terps from other botanical sources. Some blends are better than others, but they are not from cannabis. Anyone who claims to have cannabis derived terps and is willing to ship it nationwide is lying, either about the source or legality of their product. Marijuana is the only remotely economically feasible source of terpenes from cannabis, and even then, it is 100x more expensive than other sources.
There was one company that actually did sell cannabis derived terps, at a cost of about $80 per ml: Blue River Terps..... but they were busted for using federally illegal marijuana as the source and stopped operating as a terp supplier. Nowadays, the only cannabis derived terps that are available are from licensed marijuana producers, and are only available through licensed retailers in states with legal marijuana.

Carts and similar hardware

Fake Oil Brand Carts - Carts meant to be filled at home and sold as though they were made by a legit oil producer. Danks and the like. These are usually made with dangerous and unsafe materials, and cost more than a proper cart like a SPRK or a CCell.
Kandypens - Lead solder, plastic on heating elements. Gross tasting and toxic.
Fake CCells, no-name carts - This goes for all cloned/generic carts. Cloned/generic carts are usually made with lead solder, which contaminates the oil.
Cart.Farm - Buys existing but uncommon generic unbranded carts from cart manufacturers on alibaba and markets them as though they were new designs. Every cart design he has was sold years prior by other people (his "new" gcells are clones of airistechs 5 year old qcells, his ceramic carts released a year ago are clones of carts that have been sold for 7+ years). When pressed about metals testing, he shared a fake lab test. Since the carts cart.farm sells are untested, unbranded clone carts, they should be considered as suspect as every other untested unbranded clone cart. Doubly so since the seller is giving out fake labs and trolling.
Vape4Ever - sells unlicensed knock offs as legit ccells.

Additives

True Terpenes - Dangerous cuts. Sold mineral oil mislabeled as "terpenes", continues to sell the long chain lipid phytol mislabeled as "terpenes".
Mass Terpenes - Dangerous cuts. Sold vitamin e mislabeled as "terpenes", continues to sell the long chain lipid phytol mislabeled as "terpenes".
Denver Terpenes - Undisclosed ingredients. Their terpene blends, which are labeled as pure terps and theoretically should cleanly evaporate, leave behind a sweet sticky residue instead. This is because their so-called "terpenes" actually contain a mix of terps, essential oils, heavy plant oils, long chain lipids, and synthetic flavorings.
Holy Terp - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts. There is no way to tell what is in their terps... except in the case of their "flavorless terps", which you can be sure contains no terps, because no terp is flavorless. Likely phytol or PEG.
Terpene Botanicals - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts. - They sell a "flavorless viscosity adjuster" and "bulking agent" with no ingredients list. Usually such mystery cuts are vitamin e or phytol.
Terpenes Raw - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts - They sell a "flavorless terpene", but all terps have flavor. Usually when a manufacturer sells a flavorless terpene, it is vitamin e or its precursor phytol. But whatever it is, there's no way to know, except that it definitely is not a terpene.
Abstrax Tech - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts. - They claim their TEC temper "is a tri-ethyl citrate base with a proprietary mixture of odorless, tasteless terpenes" - but there is no such thing as odorless, tasteless terpenes. They claim their Terp Temper "a hydrogentated tri-terpene mixed with other flavorless terpenes and odorless terpenes with antioxidant and anti-irritant components." Again, no terp is flavorless or odorless, and it should be noted that both phytol and vitamin e can be considered hydrogenated (likely what they meant by "hydrogentated") triterpene antioxidants. It doesn't make them actual terps, nor does it make them safe to vape. Likely they are selling vitamin e or phytol.
Floraplex - Dangerous cuts. Sold vitamin e mislabeled as "terpenes", continues to sell dangerous thickeners mislabeled as "flavorless terps" which don't evaporate off at room temp. All terps have both flavor and scent and are volatile (they evaporate at room temp).
Mr Extractor - Dangerous cuts. Sold vitamin e mislabeled as "terpenes". Likely started the whole vitamin e thickener craze. While they no longer sell thickeners, consider everything they sell suspect. If they were willing to lie about 1 product being terpenes, they are willing to lie about all their products.
East Coast Terpenes - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts. The list no ingredients anywhere, and they sell a "flavorless" liquidizer, which is often code for "vitamin " or "phytol".
The Terpenes Store - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts - They sell a "flavorless terpene" blend called "Liquefy", but all terps have flavor. Usually when a manufacturer sells a flavorless terpene, it is vitamin e or its precursor phytol. But whatever it is, there's no way to know since they don't list ingredients for any product, except that it definitely is not a terpene.
Lab Effects - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts - They sell a "flavorless terpene" called "The Cut", but all terps have flavor. Usually when a manufacturer sells a flavorless terpene, it is vitamin e or its precursor phytol. But whatever it is, there's no way to know since they don't list ingredients.
Kind Terpenes - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts - The list no ingredients anywhere, and they sell a "flavorless" liquidizer, which is often code for "vitamin " or "phytol".
The Flavored Herb aka The Perfumers Apprentice - Undisclosed ingredients, mystery cuts - This is a supplier of many of the smaller terp companies listed above. They sold vitamin e as their "Apprentice Dilutant". Now they sell phytol under the same name.
TerpenesCali - aka institute liberal. A small shop selling essential oil blends as terps. No testing, no ingredients.
TerpsUSA - seller of mystery liquidizers and thickeners. No ingredients or MSDS, only a promise that every product is pure terps - same as every sketchy vitamin e cut seller.
Liquid Nugz - seller of mystery liquidizers and thickeners. No ingredients or MSDS, only a promise that every product is pure terps - same as every sketchy vitamin e cut seller.
My Terpenes - seller of mystery liquidizers and thickeners. No ingredients or MSDS, only a promise that every product is pure terps - same as every sketchy vitamin e cut seller.
Peak Supply Co - Sells the dangerous cut "Viscosity", which used to be vitamin e but is now phytol (just as bad). Lies and pretends its "pure terps".
We got reports!
user reports:
3: This is misinformation
1: It's targeted harassment at me
This is factually correct, and no, a factual recounting of your misdeeds is not targeted harassment. Not like when 3chi, for example, threatens and attempts to DOX anyone who says anything they don't like. Such as when when they demanded that I endorse them with the threat of non-stop trolling until I do.
Fuck you :)

Estimated product is 1/4 cup (2oz / 32g) of infusion, which would make 1 1/2 cup (12oz / 340g) of infused chocolate. See details section below for possible potency output calculation.

Instructions

(** = see more info in details/troubleshooting)
Decarb (100 minutes @ 203 f)
  1. Place sous vide in chosen container, fill with water to maximum level
  2. Test that jar won't float **
  3. Place the sous vide lid over the pot and appliance
  4. Set sous vide to 203f (95c), allow to preheat completely before proceeding
  5. Weigh out flower, put flower on top of weight/s in the jar, close jar to fingertip tightness **
  6. Warm the jar up ** and using the jar tongs put the jar in the water and close the container lid
  7. Allow flower to decarb for 100 minutes (1.7 hours) **
  8. When time is complete, open lid and remove jar from water using jar tongs

Infusion (4 hours @ 185f)
  1. Remove lid, turn off sous vide, and let water cool down to 185f (85c) before turning it back on to temp
  2. Once jar is cool enough to open, add melted coconut oil and sunflower lecithin directly to the flower and close the jar
  3. When water is ready, place warm jar back into water bath and close container lid
  4. Infuse for 4 hours
  5. When time is complete, open container lid and remove jar from water using tongs
  6. Once jar is cool enough to open, remove weight/s from jar, ensuring any excess infusion is left in the jar
  7. Filter infusion through a cheese cloth into a measuring cup to verify yield
    1. Place cheesecloth over the measuring cup
    2. Pour infusion into the center of the cheese cloth
    3. Take the cloth and squeeze as much as possible out the infusion into the measuring cup
  8. Set aside mixture for desired user refrigerate or freeze **
Clean up
  1. Remove the sous vide appliance from the water bath and allow to dry before putting away
  2. Dump out the water bath container
  3. Dispose of the jar, or keep it to reuse again if you'd like
  4. Dispose of cheese cloth and remaining flower, or find some creative uses

Chocolate
  1. Place sauce pan on stove, place double boiler on top, fill with water that is about 1in (2cm) from touching the boiler
  2. On medium heat melt 2/3 bag of chocolate inside the double boiler, stirring frequently
  3. Once the chocolate temperature reaches 110f (44c), cool it down to 95f (35c)
  4. Melt the remainder of the chocolate, add the infusion, and add the lecithin, continue stirring frequently
  5. Optional: Once combined, add recipe krispies, stir to combine again
  6. Optional: Decorate top layer of the dope af molds **
  7. Pour chocolate mixture into molds, do not fill to top edge and leave a gap to prevent spillage
  8. Gently shake the molds to remove any air bubbles
  9. Place the molds in the fridge or freezer to set **

Storage and consumption
Once your chocolate is set, it's ready to enjoy!
I recommend removing the chocolate from the molds, breaking it up, and storing in the freezer in a plastic container or zipper bag.
Because these are made with coconut oil, the chocolate is soft, they will melt pretty quickly out of the freezer and especially in your hands. If transporting, store the chocolates with a cold pack or two. If you use ice, keep the product and ice in two separate bags to avoid leakage.
When you're ready to have some, do consider only trying one at first and waiting until you understand how it will impact you, especially if you don't have edibles frequently. Even if you smoke or vape regularly, edibles process a bit different. Edibles take between 1-2 hours typically to take effect.
There is a vague flower-y flavor, but I don't notice it much. For extra yumminess, grind sea salt on top. It is unbelievably delicious.

Details

Q: Why sous vide?
So many reasons, besides what's already covered on this subreddit. For me, number one is I live in an apartment right now and sous vide processing is practically smell free, whereas oven decarbing will make your place REEK.
Oven decarbing also is difficult to ensure consistency, as all ovens vary, and really easy to burn or damage your flower.
Sous vide is not the same thing as boiling water. Sous vide keeps the water at a consistent temperature, ensuring you get an excellent and consistent infusion. Now, I say consistent, but remember that displacement of infusion in your edibles can vary. One edible can be stronger than the other-- from my experience, even with store bought edibles, that is the nature of the beast here.

Q: What is the potency of the resulting product?
This depends on so many factors: the type and potency of flower used, the method of decarb, how well the THC binds to the oil, the consistency of the mixture in the final product, etc.
You can use this calculator to get started.
Depending on the flower used, you may start with 18-26% THC. Let's assume the lower end at 18%. Using the calculator: 6 grams of flower, 18% THC, 0.5 cup oil, 6 tbsp infusion.. Last time I made these, I used 6 molds, assuming 8 servings each, so 48 servings. So roughly 17mg THC per serving. I typically eat two servings myself, and I am... "black light poster" toasted.
Now if you compare that to smoking a bowl: per 1 gram of flower at 18% you're looking at 180mg of THC. Accounting for at least 60 percent loss due to burning, you can expect a full bowl to deliver 18mg of THC. Now-- that's assuming you smoke an entire bowl in one sitting.
I'm happy to get all this info in one place, but again: this is an estimation and so many different properties can make this vary. Go into the experience without expectations and have fun!

Q: How should I transport my molds to the fridge/freezer?
I recommend using a plate, cookie sheet, or some flat surface to transport the molds so that they can set. Once, I tried moving them one by one but silly me, the molds will buckle in the middle because they're pliable. I did spill a good bit on the floor and inside the freezer, super no bueno.

Q: How should I decorate my chocolates?
Before pouring the chocolate into the mold you can do some fun stuff either using the dope af molds or standard molds. You can also use whatever mold you like!
I recommend using green or other colored candy melts. You can melt it in the microwave or use the double boiler again. You can even add some of the infusion to it! I will warn you though, don't try to eat the candy melts on their own, they don't taste lovely.
You can use more melted coconut oil to get a smooth consistency: on their own the candy melts don't get a liquid-y consistency that would make decorating easier.
Once you've got a good consistency or melt-age going on, use a tooth pick or small rubber spatula to spread the candy into desired design.
After the candy sets, then pour in the chocolate on top.

Q: How do I ensure my jar won't float?
Test the number of weights needed by putting one weight in the jar and placing the jar in room unheated water. If it floats, add another weight and test again. Once the jar doesn't float, take it out of the water and set aside.
I recommend these weights because I've endured the pain of trying a variety of things to weigh the jar down in my last batches. Plates, cups, bowls... I will tell you, the sous vide rack recommended in the original recipe did not work for me. I think it is best meant for bags.

Q: Why do I need to heat up the jar before placing it in the water bath?
Putting cold glass into extremely hot water may cause the glass to break and you'll lose your flower. Heat up your jar by running it under hot tap water until it is hot to the touch. Alternatively, fill a bowl with hot tap water and allow the jar to heat up. You could put the jar in the water bath before heating, but that will mess with decarb time so probably don't.

Q: Do I need to "burp" the jar?
Nope. As long as your jar doesn't have a defect, it's not going to explode or anything wild.

Q: How tight should I close the jar?
Only close the jar to "fingertip tightness" when using jars in sous vide. This means to only tighten the jar with your fingertips, not your full palm. Mason jars seal themselves with the "lid" part inside and the "ring" helps seal it closed.
The jar should not be difficult to open: remove the ring and use a butter knife to pop open the lid. There will be a smell from the jar when open.

Q: What is decarb and why is it necessary?
Check out some info here and here. Don't skip this step, be patient, it is important!

Q: Do I have to use the sous vide to decarb?
Nope, you can also use special tools like decarboxylators, a "butter machine", or in the oven.

Q: Can I use other sous vide appliances (Anova)?
I don't recommend it. Anova and similar appliances only go to 197f (92c), running it at that temp for hours will cause it to shut on and off repeatedly. It is super not fun-- if you've gotten it to work, kudos, but it was an unpleasant experience. I recommend Joule for this reason, because it goes up to 208f (98c).

Q: Can I use bags instead of jars?
Of course! I have done so several times but I recommend the jar instead: easier to weigh down and less mess.
Bags will fill with air and lift up in the pot. You can use a rack to help hold them down. If you use bags, you can either vacuum seal, reopen, and seal again. If you use zipper bags, you will need to use the water displacement method to get as much air out of the bag as possible. There is a chance when using zipper bags that they may leak, so be warned.

Q: Can I use unground / raw flower for my infusion?
I don't recommend it. A course/medium grind is ideal, be sure not to grind too finely. Decarb is important to make the edible do the thing.

Q: What kind of flower should I use?
I use shake for my edibles. You shouldn't spend a ton! You can get half an ounce of shake real cheap: ask you local dispensary or friendly flower dealer. They typically will have it. You should still grind shake when using for edibles.

Q: Can I use this same process for making butter / other infusions?
Absolutely. I might use more butter than the oil used in this recipe: up to you. If you use butter to make your infusion, you can use it in baked goods as you please just as you would normal butter.
I prefer making chocolate because this recipe just turned out so, so yummy. Rave reviews from the friends. Whereas when I used butter to make brownies and cookies, they tasted so, so terrible! I had to legit eat every bite with peanut butter. Bleck.
I haven't used this recipe to make gummies or other candies yet. Let us know if you do!

Q: Why do I need a lid or insulated container?
Sous vide is intended to keep the water at a consistent temperature. Using a container that is not insulated will allow heat to escape and force the machine to constantly run harder to keep up. You can get a special insulated container, but a pot works just fine. Do not get a plastic container.
Additionally, a lid both keeps heat from escaping from the top of the water bath and keeps steam away from the sous vide appliance. You can get a special lid for a container or pot, but you can also just use aluminum foil. I do not recommend using plastic wrap or other materials that are not heat resistant. A lid can also help prevent water from evaporating.

Troubleshooting

Q: Water level keeps going down
This is expected. Heating up water can cause it to evaporate, ideally the lid will help with this. Add additional HOT water to the water bath if this occurs. If you add cold water, it will lower the water temp and increase cooking time. Don't worry, it won't ruin your product! Just keep an eye on it now and then.

Q: Appliance keeps turning off
Here are some reasons why this may occur:
  1. Appliance does not support the temp required in the recipe
    1. Reduce temperature and cook longer period of time
    2. Use an appliance with a higher temp range
  2. Water level is below minimum
    1. See the above
  3. Machine is getting overheated by steam reaching the unit
    1. Use a lid to cover the pot, see details section
  4. Defect with the appliance, or other issue
    1. Contact support for your appliance, ensure you have your warranty handy
    2. Do some more searching around, these are the main issues I'm aware of.

Q: Jar or bag is floating
Refer to the notes above: use weights to keep your jabag down. You do not want it to float, especially not sideways. Don't fret if you can't fix the float-age, if the product itself is submerged but the jar is otherwise floating, it should still work.

Q: Container leaked / took in water
When decarbing:
This can happen due to not properly sealing your container or using zipper bags. If your flower is still in the container, it's actually probably fine. Go ahead and continue on. If your flower is out of the container entirely and floating all in the water, you can attempt to strain it out and move forward.
I say it's likely fine because water curing flower is a thing and you can still use it even if it gets wet.

When infusing:
Depending on what material you chose to infuse with, the infusion may be salvageable.
If the water is in the container, safely remove the container from the water bath. If you used an oil or butter that is solid at room temperature, allow it to get to room temperature. The water should separate out from the oil, dump the water, and continue on if you need to continue cooking. You results may vary.
If the infusion has leaked out into the water significantly, you can try the above method to salvage as much as possible. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's a solution for this.
If you used an oil that is still liquid at room temperature, I'm not aware of a solve.

Q: Taking a long time to heat or not keeping temperature
Ensure you are using an insulated or metal container and a lid. Plastic containers will not keep the heat in. These are pretty common on Amazon: avoid them.

If they are willing to dye their oil, who knows what other crap that isn't tested for they are willing to put in there.

lol. "won't someone think of the poor fake cart sellers‽" Yes, there is a source - the official state registries of licensed brands. If a cart brand isn't licensed, they are fake, and they get on the list.

re: "The 45 Greatest Strains of All Time" (High Times)

This is an open letter to High Times magazine and contributing author Danny Danko. I have purchased your magazine for the first time this week--the 45th anniversary issue. I am a Canadian Cannabis breeder and professional horticultural consultant. I was excited to read your 45 strains article. I am disappointed by the number of errors and the low level of botanical understanding of author Danny Danko and contributing editors. Below are my notes on this poorly researched and written article:

  1. PG62: Afghani #1
..."this potent indica," -- This is botanically incorrect. Afghani #1 is not an indica. Indica is a taxonomical classification which refers to plants originating in India. Afghani #1 is an Afghanica. Modern genomic testing has confirmed its origin in Afghanistan, not India. This confusion stems from an early mistake in taxonomical classification by amatuer botanist, Jean-Baptiste Lamarck. Please refer to my article on this common issue in cannabis culture today: https://www.reddit.com/Strainly/comments/dtuvab/modern_taxonomical_changes_to_the_classification/

Likewise, all your strains in this article which are designated as "sativas" are also incorrect botanical classifications. What we commonly and incorrectly refer to as "sativas" in our current cannabis culture, actually originate in India. They are indicas. I know this is confusing, but it is fact. Botany is a science. These are scientific facts. And as long as your magazine continues to perpetuate outdated botanical classifications, you will continue to contribute to misinformation in our culture. One day enough educated readers will see your published terminology as outdated and incorrect, as industry professionals like myself already do. This taxonomical change occurred in 2016, and as an industry leading publication, I am surprised that you have missed it, especially considering how foundationally relevant this change is to our understanding of the plant.
  1. PG62: Blueberry
"Breeder DJ Short was able to tame the wildest impulses of the Southest Asian sativas by backcrossing with an Afghani male over time..."
This is false. DJ Short has gone on record numerous times describing his Blueberry lineage. He crossed his Oregon cut of Purple Thai to the Afghani #1 male to create Flo. In that same breeding run he also crossed a Juicy Fruit pheno of Thai with the same Afghan father. Then he grew out the Juicy Fruit x Afghani #1 (F1) lineage to F2. And that F2 round of the Juicy Fruit x Afghani #1 was what he back-crossed to Flo. He never back-crossed to Afghani--publishing that statement is entirely false. He hated the Afghani's narcotic effects and purposefully strayed from the lineage. He was trying to breed away from it--he would never have backcrossed into it. He backcrossed the Juicy Fruit line with Flo (F1), not Afghani. One of the most well-known lineages and you published it incorrectly.

  1. PG62: Blue Dream
Mentioning this "strain" on the Top 45 is a joke--not because I'm a "Blue Dream hater", but because modern lab testing has shown that across the United States, there are five unique, completely different chemovars, ALL called Blue Dream. That means that everyone who thinks they are talking about Blue Dream is not talking about the same strain.
Please understand that a "strain" is one selected phenotype of a plant grown from seed. That is what "strain" means--it's a botanical word with a clear definition you can look up. Blue Dream is a brand label, and within the brand "Blue Dream" are five entirely different plants with entirely different growth habits and entirely different active phyochemical constituents. The five "Blue Dreams" are not different phenotypes of one "Blue Dream" cross. They are five entirely unique chemovars. They're different plants which people have lied and called "Blue Dream".
Listing "Blue Dream" as a "strain" is like publishing the statement that all GSC cuts are "OG Kush". It's simply not true--every cut of GSC is unique and so are the dozens of OG cuts. SFV OG is not Larry OG, and Thin Mint is not Tropicanna Cookies. But by claiming "Blue Dream" is one strain, you've lumped 5 entirely different strains into one single brand name, then slapped an undeserved title onto it.
Please understand that if there are five unique "Blue Dreams", then there is no one identifiable "Blue Dream". What's embarrassing, is that this is common knowledge among professional breeders and scale growers. The fact that "Blue Dream doesn't exist" is well-known and talked about. How you've somehow thrown a brand which represents 5 entirely different strains grown across the country by liars and called it "one" of the "45 greatest strains of all time" is absurd. And it's flat out wrong--botanically and factually--to refer to Blue Dream as a strain, at all, period. It's a brand name, it's a lie, it's five different plants, and it's not a strain.
  1. PG.62: Bruce Banner #3
"after testing at over 28 percent THC at our Cannabis Cup in Denver in 2013, the "BB3" smashed records as the highest-testing strain to date."
Another false claim. Over 20+ strains have since beat 28% THC content in legitimate repeated lab studies. Even an outdoor strain cultivated in Oregon, known as "Animal Cookies" has routinely achieved lab tests as high as 29% THC and up. And that's grown outdoors in a field. This year Future (#1) by 7 Points Oregon tested at 37.28%. Almost a dozen strains have broke 30%.

  1. PG63: Cannatonic
"Cannatonic phenotypes come with a variety of ratios between CBD and THC"
That is the textbook definition of an unstable line. Of all the elite cuts being held, and all the stable inbred lines out there, you are putting a pollen-chucked F1 cross on this list? I hope you realize they took other people's genetics without even knowing what they had, chucked them all at each other, then released an unstable seed line, and subsequently received unwarranted hype from the few people who found keeper phenos in their crapshoot seed release. Meanwhile the other 90% of the people who bought Cannatonic seeds have random crap phenos that aren't at all what Resin Seeds claims on their seed listing.
Here is a statement from Resin Seeds themselves, the "breeders" of this F1 pollen chuck which you've unfairly given the designation of one of the "greatest of all time":
From Resin Seeds:
"We are happy to announce that we can finally and officially clear up the controversy of the mess that was the lineage of our CBD queen, Cannatonic. Not MK-Ultra x G13 as we assumed before, we now know that the real genetics of Cannatonic are Reina Madre x NYCD."
So these "breeders" released Cannatonic as MK Ultra x G13 while they were unknowingly working with NYCD. So they publicly admit that the don't even know what MK Ultra, G13, or NYCD look like--three of the most common foundational North American strains. They have legit never grown them before that first time, and they didn't even know what they were growing while they were looking right at it. That isn't breeding. They just bought some clones and popped some seeds and chucked some pollen. Their Cannatonic phenotypes are ALL over the place because they put zero work into it. It's not stabilized, it does not meet the botanical definition of a strain (in this context), and it therefore most certainly does not deserve to be on this list. Having such an unstable genetic on this list of greatest "strains" is like putting "Bagseed" on the top 45 greatest strains of all time. Bagseed is nothing--it's a random crapshoot. Cannatonic isn't any work, it isn't any passion, it isn't any skill, it isn't any knowledge. "Cannatonic" is nothing--just another unstable moneygrab seed drop.
Please note that, just as with bag seed, if a single phenotype is discovered from seed, and that phenotype is kept, it then becomes a strain. But if the grower names that strain the same thing as the parents: "Cannatonic", then we get into another Blue Dream situation: multiple entirely different genetics incorrectly given the same name. Anyone who popped Cannatonic seeds and found a keeper pheno is not growing Cannatonic--they are growing a random F1 hybrid strain they have foolishly chosen to name after Cannatonic. Same with bag seed. If you pop bagseed, you are not growing a strain called "Bagseed". But if you find a pheno you like, and you propagate it, then you have created a strain.
For example, Chem Dog was bag seed. It didn't come from a "Chem Dog" plant that was bred. But once Chemdog discovered the stand-out plant from his bagseed, he named the newly discovered strain after himself. But publishing, "Bagseed That Yielded Chemdog" as one of the 45 greatest strains of all time is ludicrous. And it highlights your entire team's lack of horticultural knowledge.
  1. PG65: Hindu Kush
"The original Hindu Kush, derived from prewar Afghani seeds..."
This is also incorrect. Hindu Kush is a local heirloom/landrace in the Hindu Kush mountains between the borders of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Afghani is from central and western Afghanistan. The seed lines of Afghani and Hindu Kush are two an entirely different landrace genetics from Afghanistan. Hindu Kush did not come from Afghani Seeds. That's like saying Panama Red comes from Oaxacan Gold, simply because they're from the same country. I grow both Hindu Kush and Afghani 1, maintain several seedlines of each, and have studied the lineages of both.
Danny Danko needs to pick up a map and a book and figure out what he's talking about. Or at least an editor there who notices all these gross errors published as fact.
  1. PG71: S.A.G.E.
"S.A.G.E. was developed by crossing Big Sour Holy with Afghani to form an ambrosial variety"
There's no such thing as Big "Sour" Holy. It's "Big Sur Holy Weed", and it's a legendary strain. Looks like your auto-correct changed the real strain name from Big Sur to Big Sour and no one gives a shit to notice this blasphemy before printing. By publishing the word "Sour" you are now responsible for a legion of unintelligent assumptions that "Sour Diesel must be in there somewhere, right? Why else is it named "sour"? You've inadvertently muddled a distinct and exotic lineage with another unrelated lineage.
Shocking disrespect for one of the most rare and irie strains of all time. Bomboclaat! Big Sur should have been on this list!
It's so painfully obvious that all Danny Danko smokes or grows or has been exposed to is run of the mill polyhybrid afghanica-dominant narcotic cultivars. So tired of hydro heads talking about and judge "quality" before they lean back and toke on their vape pens. Even worse was to read this in a syndicated publication.
Someone please make Danny Danko flower a haze before he writes another word about cannabis. He's spelling "ambrosial variety", but can't get the name of the actual variety right? Maybe... because he's clueless about it and obviously slapped this entire article together by referencing his own previous TOP 10 lists? For an introductory English course at a community college this would be insufficient research and editing. No exaggeration--this would have been returned for further editing.
  1. PG74: White Widow
"A sea change in cannabis genetics"
Minor typo: the idiom is, "a sea of change" Poor editing here--a first pass glance shows an obvious missing word. Is anyone sober there?
Conclusion
Pretty bad for one article. Like really bad. 8 of 45 of the entries contained inaccuracies or falsities. That's 18% of the entire article, wrong. I've never seen such oblivious writing and editing among any publication, ever. And I'm obviously well read. Although abstracts and glossaries are more my jam.
I'll continue reading through the rest of this magazine. The pictures are great. But it's doubtful I'll ever purchase High Times again.
Cannabis Culture was a great magazine. I often find backissues in thrift stores that have a better grasp on modern cannabis cultivation than High Times' "Senior Cultivation Editor" does today. And Cannabis Culture has been out of publication for over ten years.
Feel free to call me out for being a nitpicky douchebag or overly harsh. Or if you have contradictory information, please share sources for discussion.
I only write with such conviction and vehemence as this magazine writes with such abandon and irrelevance. I hope for an end to all the buffoonery in this era of waning prohibition; vape cartridges with untested carrier oils, medicine sprayed with known carcinogens, cannabidiol-based scam "medicines", and a recent slieu of odiferous Green Rush publications. Fear and ignorance of this plant must end. If you have not read a published work, or have not had years of intimate experience with a specific cultivar, please do not contribute to the noise of manipulation and misinformation.
If you'd like to support my research and publication efforts, or my work as a burgeoning career breeder, simply keep an ear open for Seven Trees.
Thank you for your attention.

Double Grape

Strain Name: Double Grape

Genetic heritage - Sour Stomper (Grape Stomper OG x Sour Crack) x Grape Crinkle (Canadian Crinkle Cut x Supernatural (Exotic Genetix) x Ripley's OG.)

Strain overview

Part of our 2nd Illuminauto drop, now advanced into a new Limited Edition strain. Here's what we said then: 'Another clash of the Artisanal titans in the form of the two strains of grape heritage. Sour Stomper (Sour crack - Grape Pheno x Grape Stomper OG) x Grape Crinkle (Canadian Crinkle x Supernatural x Ripley's OG) From the offset of our F3 Artisanal run last winter we had this cross pegged and written on our project board as a MUST DO! Insanely frosty and bursting with flavour, ideal strain for extraction!'
This was the first Illuminauto strain to sell out from the 2nd drop, we received such good feedback we just had to continue the line and make her available again.

Strain behaviour

Double Grape is an all-round pleasure to grow. She's easy to grow and manicure and all too easy to consume! One of our frostiest, oiliest varieties ever and Double Grape packs a punch too.
Double Grape has very nice vigour and grows relatively open, she will bush naturally with some leaf tucking but also will adapt very nicely to LST and other forms of training when performed correctly.
The cycle time is medium at 65-70 days to bring her to fruition in ideal conditions and is definitely one of the most pleasurable strains to grow from any of our collections.
Don't miss out on this one!

Strain figures and info in brief:

Forgotten Cookies

Strain Name: Forgotten Cookies

Generation: F1 Type: Auto - Feminised Genetic Heritage: Forum Stomper (Girl Scout Cookies x Sour Stomper) x Fugue State (Amnesia Haze BX1 x Walter White)

Project introduction and Overview:

Dude, where's my cookies??

When producing the latest round of Artisanal strains we get the opportunity to comb through a lot of plants; and running 4 strains together really helps to assess the full qualities, similarities and differences between them.
Two strains we thought would blend exceptionally well and be highly complementary to each other were Forum Stomper (Girl Scout Cookies x Sour Stomper) and Fugue State (Amnesia Haze BX1 x Walter White). Forum Stomper grows in a bushy freestyle manner, whilst Fugue State is more traditional and regimented in its shape. The effects of each are also very different, the Fugue State has a traditional sativa up, electric and soaring high whilst Forum Stomper is certainly more stoney but highly pleasurable.
The end result is a lovely blend between sativa/indica growth patterns and end effect. She's not a chore to grow and delivers an exceptionally high product!
Definitely one to give a go, we recommend her highly.

Strain behaviour and structure:

Forgotten Cookies is a pretty easy autoflower to grow, she has a nice vigor and growth rate and with some simple leaf tucking between weeks 2-4, you can easily convince her to bush out nicely for you and get an even canopy.
When she gets into her stride and goes through the preflowestretch stage, she will turn those branches into tall vertical colas.
Predominantly she makes a large nugget on the end, but you can trace nicely spaced out flowers all the way down to the base of the branch. She lends well to different training techniques and doesn't create much foliage to allow for good penetration of light down to the lower levels.
Overall we'd class her as a medium sized strain that has very good yield potential when grown in a loving environment. She can take up to 80 days from seed to mature, especially if you hit upon a more sativa phenotype, however it's more than worth the wait. The quality of this hybrid is really something special.
She isn't difficult to trim and is rich in terps and has a smattering of resin all over her which makes her an ideal candidate for extract works.

Strain figures and info in brief:

  • Indica/Sativa: 45/55
In good conditions she will deliver -
  • Cycle time: 70-80 days
  • Size: 60-90cm Height/Width 50-70cm
  • Yield: 90-150g as a single plant grow
  • Best method for overall high yield: 9 per 1.2x1.2 space in 15 litre pots under a 600w - 500g is obtainable.
  • Aroma and flavour: Complex combining sweet biscuits to sour lime zest
  • Effect: Positive, euphoric, clean high can initially be racey but it tapers off to be a relaxing and social effect.
  • Best grown: Indoogreenhouse/outdoor
  • Flower Density: 8/10
  • Cannbinoids: TBA
  • Medicinal qualities: Appetite stimulation and gives you wings.

Further info:

Ease of grow - 8/10 - Not challenging to grow or get good results. Potency - 9/10 Very high potency. buyer beware. Concentrate info - 9/10 very rich in terpenes and high frost level on fans and flowers makes for a great extract candidate. Gold Glue

Strain Name: Gold Glue

Generation: F1 Type: Auto - Feminised Genetic Heritage: 24 Carat x 4 Assed Monkey

Project introduction and Overview:

Gold Glue: The midas touch!
Gold Glue was a strain we released as part of the 2017 Illuminautos, and both ourselves here at MG, and our customers fell in love with this lady! She is a combination of two really stellar strains from the Mephisto Catalogue; our oldest and most sentimental strain 24 Carat, and one of our newest and fun strains 4 Assed Monkey. Being a blend of old school genetics in the form of the Afghani 24 Carat and the newer school of Gorilla Glue, she is a fantastic strain to behold. The two strains have combined to create a stupendously nice amalgamation of complex, delicious flavours as part of a powerful stout plant that's great fun to grow.

Strain behaviour and structure:

Gold Glue is a small to medium sized plant very much on the indica side of the spectrum. She has a bushy structure, thick green leaves and stout stems, but given ample rootspace, good environment and capable hands she can become surprisingly big. She's also pretty versatile in that if you restrict her pot size she can be run as part of an Autoflower Sea Of Green arrangement, due to being a more compact plant that can then also yield really well in smaller spaces. Gold Glue will benefit nicely from training, and if high humidity is an issue, because of the end density of her flowers we would recommend training to spread the flower mass across the plant. Gold Glue runs through the stages of an autoflower pretty quickly, transitioning quickly from seedling, to pre-flower, to flower. However, once she's in flower, she flowers hard, creating large, heavy and dense flowers. She is also a very oily girl and a magnificent little hash plant. She's amongst the easiest to harvest, manicure and process and, due to the density of the buds, the yield can be deceptively really impressive. Overall she's got a lot of admirable qualities and is great fun to grow.

  • Aroma and flavour: Sweet, fruity, tropical to creamy coffee and sour
  • Effect: Heavy on the body, pleasant to the mind, zen-like.

Grapey Walter

Strain name: Grapey Walter

Generation: F1 Type: Auto - Feminised Genetic Heritage: Grape Crinkle x Walter White

Project introduction and Overview:

Grapey Walter: MG Weather Forecast - Predicted front of high terps with a frost factor of 10!

Grapey Walter was initially released as part of our second line up of Illuminautos in 2016, she sold out pretty quickly, so we couldn't resist to bring her back as a Limited Edition to give more people a chance to grow and love her!
Grapey Walter is a combination of two of our frostiest strains ever, our Grape Crinkle Artisanal (now extinct) and one of our favourite Original strains, Walter White. Let's get it straight from the off, she doesn't disappoint.
Grape Crinkle was a strange little character of a plant, sometimes displaying slightly freaky deeky growth patterns and flower formations, however, she oozes frost like no other and is super rich in terpenes to match. By mating her with Walter White, a lot of these oddities have been smoothed out, just retaining those delectable, powerful aromas and ridiculous resin content.
This is a super nice strain and no doubt will bring a lot of amazement and fun to your autoflower garden. Make sure not to overlook this offering, you won't regret it!

Strain behaviour and structure:

Grapey Walter is a medium sized plant, naturally she grows with a dominant and thick main cola with decent satellite branching. However with a little light manipulation, you can train her so she spreads that weight across those branches.
The end result is a very respectable yield with a high floweplant ratio.
She is a hybrid of mostly indica characteristics with a dash of some sativa traits. She's not a difficult variety to grow and in a good environment will really reward you with some fine fruits.
Grapey Walter is an absolutely next level, quality automatic; some of the whitest, stickiest resin smothering both flowers and fans. With a high level of aroma and oozing exotic terpenes, she can also turn on the colours late in flower, meaning this is a really beautiful specimen on every level.
Trimming and processing isn't a torrid affair either, and this is a super strain to make exceptional concentrates from.

Strain figures and info in brief:

  • Indica/Sativa: 60/40
In good conditions she will deliver -
  • Cycle time: 65-75 days from sprout (depending on phenotype, desired effect, and environmental conditions)
  • Size: 65-95cm Height/Width 50-70cm
  • Yield: 100-180g as a single plant grow
  • Best method for overall high yield: 9 per 1.2x1.2 space in 15 liter pots under a 600w - 500g is obtainable.
  • Aroma and flavour: Spicy, grapey, winey rich exotic
  • Effect: Strong stoney and blissful high, which warms and relaxes the body too.
  • Best grown: Indoogreenhouse
  • Flower Density: 8/10
  • Cannbinoids: TBA
  • Medicinal qualities: Relaxing, anti stress, soothes aches and pains and stimulates appetite

Further info:

Ease of grow - 8/10 - A straight forward autoflower grow
Aroma level whilst growing - 7.5/10 High - Odor control is essential
Trim ease - 8/10 - Nice density with low amounts of leaf makes this a pleasure to manicure
Frost Level - 10/10 - Next level!
Bag Appeal - 10/10 - Delicious frosty, firm flowers and intense aromas make this a winner
After Cure Aroma level - 8/10 - Retains high levels of aromas and gets more complex given cure time.
Potency - 8.5/10 - Strong, this isn't a beginner smoke.
Concentrate info - 10/10 Top shelf concentrates are possible from this lady.

White Chem

Strain name: White Chem

Generation: F1 Type: Auto - Feminised Genetic Heritage: Walter White x Chemdogging

Project introduction and Overview:

White Chem: Rumble in the Jungle!

White Chem is another graduate from our Illuminautos program of 2016, the second release. She again combines two of our most heavy hitting Original line strains, Walter White and Chemdogging. These are both frost monsters and special strains in their own rights, both could be our personal top 5 Mephisto bred strains, however, when brought together they really shine that bit more as White Chem. If anyone’s looking for an ultra-frosty, ultra-potent variety with a phat yield, then look no further.

Strain behaviour and structure:

White Chem is a pretty easy strain to grow, she grows with good vigor stacking nodes and putting on size quickly in the first weeks. She’s not too finicky, so when given a good environment her transition into flowering can be outright explosive.
We would classify her as a medium to large variety, she grows with a more typically Xmas tree structure when left to her own devices. Secondary branches become long towers with tight internodes which result in big colas, however, if you choose to train her you can get a very even canopy of more than decent colas.
It will reward you to spend some time clearing out undergrowth and any growth that could develop into potential fluff as there will be foliage that can block penetration of light.
White Chem is not the fastest, wrapping up around 70-80 days from sprout, but the yield potential as a single plant or low plant density grow is worth the extra time.
The flowers are large and dense, and adorned in resin, and she’s very odorific! So please make sure your filtration system is in good order. Trimming isn’t too torrid but it’s not as easy as some, however the yield and quality is worth a little stint in trim jail.

Strain figures and info in brief:

  • Indica/Sativa: 50/50
In good conditions she will deliver -
  • Cycle time: 70-80 days from sprout (depending on phenotype, desired effect, and environmental conditions)
  • Size: 80-120cm Height/Width 60-90cm
  • Yield: 120-210g as a single plant grow
  • Best method for overall high yield: 4-6 per 1.2x1.2 space in 20 litre pots under a 600w - 500g is obtainable.
  • Aroma and flavour: Powerful sharp lemon to raw meaty funk.
  • Effect: Potent balanced high, active up progresses to heavy body effect
  • Best grown: Indoogreenhouse/outdoor
  • Flower Density: 7/10
  • Cannbinoids: TBA
  • Medicinal qualities: Good remedy for aches and pains

Further info:

Ease of grow - 7.5/10 - Not finicky but will benefit from pruning or training to extract the best result. Aroma level whilst growing - 8.5/10 High - Won’t be gentle on your carbon filter. Trim ease - 7/10 - Not a complicated one to trim but not something Stevie wonder can trim. Frost Level - 8/10 - Flowers get totally encapsulated, fans not too thick with frost like some. Bag Appeal - 8/10 - Great nose and dense frosty product = happy faces! After Cure Aroma level - 8/10 - Stays stinky. Potency - 9/10 Disclaimer: Very high potency. Wouldn’t recommend operating heavy machinery whilst under the influence. Concentrate info - 7/10 - Well worth running for your chosen extract process. Overall Mephisto rating - 8.5/10 - For a great yield of high quality meds you can’t go far wrong with this variety.

White Crack

Strain name: White Crack

Generation: F1 Type: Auto - Feminised Genetic Heritage: Sour CrackCrack x Walter White

Project introduction and Overview:

White Crack: The new special for our favourite crack head - Tyrone.

White Crack was initially just given out as a freebie for European orders during 2016-2017, however we have had such amazing and frantic feedback about her, we just had to reproduce this strain! We definitely knew we should give more people a chance to try her out, We're just sorry it took this long to have her back!
Combining two of our Original strains, Walter White and Sour Crack, two strains we really cherish as part of our catalogue and history of work. White crack is stupendously nice and a case of the sum being even better than the parts! She has also returned one of the highest cannabinoid analysis test results with one of our customers achieving over 27% thc, at the time we believe that was the highest strength autoflower on the planet!
This could be one of the most highly anticipated limiteds of the year. So make sure to grab a pack whilst they're around.

Strain behaviour and structure:

White Crack is a winner on a lot of levels, She displays decent vigour and with a little encouragement via some simple leaf tucking can become a really full bush of flowers. Yield potential is really high too, either she'll put out some very hench cola's, or if you've helped her to bush out she'll make a whole plants worth of compact crystally nugs just spread out between all her branches. There is some variation between phenotypes, there are some Sour Crack dominant phenos which stay smaller but thicker, however, they're bigger than the Sour Crack parent, and these finish the fastest. There's an average size phenotype that is a true blend between both strains, this is the pheno we're focusing on describing throughout this description. The size of this pheno is medium to large but it packs a lot of flowers, branches well, and the finish time is very respectable. Lastly, there's a larger, more Walter White dominant pheno with some extra hybrid vigor added in. This one will produce more yield but it's finish time will be later towards the end of the 75 day harvest window.
The larger phenos will benefit from clearing out of the plant bottoms and inners in order to concentrate the energy into the main colas.
Overall, this is an enjoyable, not too tricky plant to grow that delivers a spectacular end product.

Strain figures and info in brief:

  • Indica/Sativa: 75/25
In good conditions she will deliver -
  • Cycle time: 65-75 days from sprout (depending on phenotype, desired effect, and environmental conditions)
  • Size: 60-90cm Height/Width 50-70cm
  • Yield: 100-180g as a single plant grow
  • Best method for overall high yield: 6-9 per 1.2x1.2 space in 15 liter pots under a 600w - 500g is obtainable.
  • Aroma and flavour: creamy peppery sweet exotic funky
  • Effect: Very powerful high, not for amateur tokers
  • Best grown: Indoogreenhouse
  • Flower Density: 8.5/10
  • Cannbinoids: TBA
  • Medicinal qualities: Sedative pain killing qualities, appetite and sleep inducing

Further info:

Ease of grow - 7/10 - Not too challenging to grow, but does benefit from some plant maintenance. Aroma level whilst growing - 7/10 High - Odor control is essential Trim ease - 7.5/10 - compact buds with a good flower to leaf ratio. Frost Level - 9.5/10 Very trich'd out! Bag Appeal - 9.5/10 Exceptional bag appeal After Cure Aroma level - 7/10 - Milder than some, but still up there. Potency - 9.5/10 Very very high potency. buyer beware. Concentrate info - 9/10 Super high resin levels makes for great squishing potential. Overall Mephisto rating - 9/10 - Highly recommended. Enough said
